Local Scholarship Information
The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) is a non-profit organization established in 1976 by several African-American Police Executives. The organization was designed to address crime and to seek equity in the administration of justice within urban areas. NOBLE serves as the conscience of law enforcement and is committed to justice by Action. The organization has approximately 60 chapters with over 4,000 members worldwide. Membership includes executive officers and command-level law enforcement officials from federal, state, county, municipal agencies, within the field of criminal justice. NOBLE also serves more than 60,000 youth through the following programs: Mentoring, Education, Leadership Development, and Safety programs.

2022 ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The NOBLE scholarship is offered to students interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or criminal justice. This one-time award of $1,000 is funded by the NOBLE South Florida Chapter and targets students attending an accredited college or university.
SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must:
- 2022/2023 High School Graduate from a school within the Chapter’s area;
- First year freshman enrolled as a full-time college student in a degree granting program;
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (“B” average); and
- Demonstrate community service and involvement
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
Applicants must submit a short essay about their “Career Goals”, college acceptance letter, an official transcript, a letter of recommendation and evidence of community service involvement.
